Working with the Media to Support the Campaign for Mental Health Recovery
Please join us as two presenters provide information on how individuals at the grassroots level can effectively work with the media to garner support for the Campaign for Mental Health Recovery (CMHR) and how one can successfully use the CMHR community site kit to accomplish these goals.
Training Summary
One of the most popular and effective ways to build support for and interest in a campaign is to work with the media. Those supporting the CMHR efforts at the grassroots levels can leverage the national media strategies of the Campaign to target local media outlets. Key to any strategy is to initiate contact and maintain open lines of communication; however, taking this step for many state coordinators, partners, and others involved may seem difficult at best.
The SAMHSA ADS Center has developed this Webcast to provide CMHR coordinators, partners, and other interested individuals with an overview of helpful tips for contacting the media and useful strategies for organizing outreach efforts.
